Heather Codling & Tom McCann
Heather Codling has lived in Ashmore Green since 1988. She and her husband have two grown up daughters. She is a partner in a small local business. Heather has lots of interests, including gardening, motorcycling, travel and reading.
Heather is a former District Councillor, and was part of the group that assisted in saving The Corn Exchange to become a leading arts venue in Newbury. Heather was also a parish councillor in Cold Ash, and was instrumental in restricting the heavy goods vehicles using the village as a rat run to the motorway. She was also Chair of Parish Council at the time the village hall was being extended and refurbished, assisting in raising funds from the lottery and local organisations.
For the nearly 20 years Heather has led Cold Ash Guides, providing fun and exciting meetings, as well as many camps, holidays and day trips for girls aged 10-14, as well as assisting other units for younger and older girls.
Tom McCann move to Berkshire in the early 1980s from the Glasgow area. He has been married to Margot for over 36 years and has two daughters, one living in Aldermaston and the other in Sutton.
Tom has worked within the construction industry for over 30 years, and is almost retired. He has also volunteered part time for a Berkshire based charity for the past 14 years.
